AAYSA Volleyball League Information

Ready to bump, set, and spike? Our Volleyball League runs three seasons a year:

  • Fall: August – October
  • Spring: March – May
  • Summer: June - August

Game Days: Saturdays at McMath Middle School and UNT
Age Cutoff: Determined by your child’s age on September 1st of the current school year

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Where are games held?: UNT's Bahnsen Gym and Physical Education Building (PEB) Gym and McMath Middle School in Denton.
  • Where are practices held?: McNabb Middle School in Aubrey.
  • Where are game schedules posted?: Once schedules are created, they can be found here: https://www.teamsideline.com/sites/denton/schedules
  • How long are practices?: Each practice session is one hour. We aim to give every team at least two nights of gym time per week, depending on availability.
  • When do the games start?: Games are played September 12th through November 7th.
  • What is the difference in D1 and D2?: Youth volleyball is offered at two levels for older divisions: - Rec (D2) is for intermediate players ready to grow but not quite ready for advanced play. It’s a great way to ease into more traditional volleyball and learn school-style rules. - D1 is for advanced players with strong skills and game experience—often preparing for club or school teams.

Volleyball Volunteer Opt-Out
Volleyball Volunteer Opt-Out $0.00 Per Item
Each team is required to have 1 parent volunteer to line judge per game per season. Opt-Out Option: Families may choose to opt out of volunteer requirements by purchasing the Volleyball Volunteer Opt-Out option during registration. This option covers the league requirement of having a line judge in order for our teams to compete in lieu of volunteer time.
