Track & Field 2026 - Summer 2026

AAYSA Track & Field

AAYSA Track introduces kids to Track & Field in a positive and encouraging environment. Our goal is to help young athletes learn the fundamentals of running, jumping, and throwing while building confidence, teamwork, and a love for being active. The focus is on learning, improving, and having fun.

AAYSA competes through TAAF (Texas Amateur Athletic Federation) in Region 4.

Program Highlights

• Open to athletes of all experience levels
• Focus on fundamentals, technique, and athlete development
• Encourages teamwork and positive sportsmanship

Practice Schedule

Practice Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday

6:30–7:30 PM – 6U, 8U, 10U
7:15–8:30 PM – 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U

Athletes should wear comfortable athletic clothing suitable for running and movement such as shorts, leggings, T-shirts, or athletic tops. Proper running or athletic shoes are recommended, and athletes should bring a water bottle.

Track spikes are not permitted during regular practices unless approved by a coach. Coaches will provide guidance if and when spikes are appropriate for training or competition.

Meets

Regional Qualifying Meets
Held no later than two weeks before the state meet, as determined by TAAF Region 4.

Meet Policy

Registration includes four regular season meets. Athletes may substitute one missed meet with the Regional Meet (if eligible) with advance notice to coaches. Limit one substitution per athlete.

If an athlete qualifies for the State Meet, AAYSA will cover the entry fee. The State Meet is not considered part of the regular season meets and cannot be used as a substitution.

Baseball Camp - Spring 2026

WELCOME TO SPRING BASEBALL CAMP REGISTRATION WITH AAYSA!

AAYSA is teaming up with Jason Leslie to host a Spring Baseball Camp.  This clinic will focus on core baseball fundamentals including hitting, fielding and position specific work. Please note that pitching will not be included in this clinic. 

We will team up 5 kids per coach to ensure we have plenty of 1-on-1 instruction time.

CAMP AGE BREAKDOWN

6u through 9u: 90 minute session (1pm to 2:30pm)

10u through 14u: 90 minute session (2:30pm to 4pm)

Day of Camp: 3/29/26

Camp Cost:  $25 per kid

Registration period: 3/1/26 - 3/22/26 - (No Registration after 3/22/26, need time to organize camp with final kid registration numbers)

Cheer - Fall 2026

Our Youth League Sideline Cheer program is a fun, high-energy experience designed for athletes who want to build confidence, teamwork, and school spirit while supporting their community! Cheerleaders will learn age-appropriate cheers, chants, basic stunts, motions, jumps, and simple sideline routines to perform at local youth league games.

This program focuses on fundamentals, positive sportsmanship, and creating a supportive team environment where athletes can grow both on and off the field. Participants will develop coordination, strength, flexibility, and leadership skills while making new friends and building lasting memories.

Sideline Cheer is perfect for beginners as well as returning cheerleaders who want to sharpen their skills in a fun, encouraging atmosphere. Come ready to cheer loud, smile big, and represent your team with pride!

Flag Football - Spring 2026

AAYSA Flag Football Inaugural Season!

Now accepting registrations. NFL Flag league in Frisco/McKinney. Games starting on March 28th. All Practices will be local. Registration includes NFL Flag Team branded jersey, flags, 6 regular season games plus the playoff weekend. No Games Easter Weekend. Join Now!! 

Season Dates: March 28th - May 17th (Games on Saturdays, with one Sunday on Playoff weekend)

Location(s): Game will be played at Legacy Christian Academy and McKinney North High School.

We are excited to start this program, and we are looking forward to seeing you on the field!

Baseball - Spring 2026

WELCOME TO SPRING BASEBALL REGISTRATION WITH AAYSA!

A player's "league age" is determined by looking at how old the player will be on or before May 1st, 2026. If you are unsure of what age your child should play, please use the USSSA Baseball Age Calculator.

SPRING 2026 SEASON TIMELINE

Teams Formed: 1/26/26

First Day of Practices: 2/16/26 - Possibly sooner depending on Coach / player availability

Game Schedule release: 2/28/26

Games Start: Week of March 16th

Regular Season Ends: 5/16/26

Post Season Tournament (Single Elimination - 8U and above only): Date of tournament - Targeting saturday May 16th 

 LEAGUE PLAY

Our league consists of two divisions across the following towns. East Division - (Aubrey, Pilot Point, and Tioga), West Division - (Krum, Era, Ponder, and Sanger). Majority of the East games will be played in Pilot Point while West games will be played in Ponder / Sanger / Krum. We might have a few East division games played in the West division, but determined by the number of teams we have once registration is closed and teams are formed. The goal is to have 8 games for each team for the Spring season.

The game days for each age group will be determined in late February.

Soccer - Spring 2026

AAYSA Soccer – Welcome to the Spring 2026 Season!

Thank you for registering with AAYSA Soccer. We’re excited to have your family with us! Final schedules, fields, and team details will be sent out as soon as they are confirmed with our league partners.

AAYSA offers recreational soccer in the following co-ed divisions:

• U4 – Intro to soccer and movement.

• U6 – Early skills and simple gameplay.

• U8 – Small-sided matches and technical growth.

• U10 – Developing tactics and teamwork.

• U12 – Larger-field play and advanced skills.

Updates on rosters, coaching assignments, and inter-league structure will be provided as soon as they are finalized.

Softball - Spring 2026

Swing into Spring with AAYSA Softball!

Get ready for another awesome season of softball excitement! AAYSA Softball is now open for Spring registration for all young athletes aged 4U to 14U (age determined by the USSSA chart for the 2025-2026 season).

Imagine regular practices to hone those skills, thrilling games, and an end-of-season tournament to celebrate teamwork and achievement! Practice schedules will be set to accommodate coach availability. Game days (historically weekdays and Saturdays) will be announced at the season's start. Get ready for some weekend tournament action too!

Volleyball - Spring 2026

AAYSA Volleyball League Information

Ready to bump, set, and spike? Our Volleyball League runs three seasons a year:

• Fall: August – October
• Spring: March – May

Game Days: Saturdays at McMath Middle School and UNT
Age Cutoff: Determined by your child’s age on September 1st of the current school year
